Club Director Meghan Blair will give an overview of each program within the SAS family throughout the year. Attend if you have interest in pursuing beach volleyball all year round! 

Questions that will be answered: 

  • Do I need beach experience to make the team?
  • Can I do indoor club and SAS?

Interest Meeting Registration

SAS CROSSOVER

SAS Crossover is a training program for those athletes who have already committed to an indoor volleyball club for the season, but want to put in work in the sand as well! It is designed for players who want to improve their overall volleyball skills, as well as learn the beach game.

This program is great for players who:

  • are interested in joining Stars and Stripes year-round but were not ready to make the jump to full time beach volleyball, or 
  • want to elevate their indoor game by training in the sand

SAS Crossover coaches are the same coaches as our year-round team, so you know you will receive quality high-level training! This program will raise your level of play and focus on personal growth. 

8th through 12th Graders are welcome to try out!

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is coaching SAS Crossover? 
SAS Crossover is coached by the same coaches as our College Development Team. We are proud to have a deep roster of coaches dedicated to our programming. 

Can anyone sign up for SAS Crossover? 
Any female athlete in grades 8th - 12th can be evaluated for SAS Crossover. The coaches will make a recommendation for a program. 

How many players do you accept for SAS Crossover? 
We are not looking for a set number of athletes. We make offers to as many or as few players fit the criteria we are looking for. 

What happens if I miss practice?
SAS Crossover is different from the indoor model. We focus on individual training, so the only athlete that is affected if you do not come is YOU. There will be no discounts, fee reductions, or refunds for missed practices.

Will there be tournaments for SAS Crossover players?
We don't expect SAS Crossover players to travel to compete in tournaments. However Great American Volleyball will offer both women's and juniors tournaments throughout the fall, winter and spring that would be a great idea to sign up for! The SAS Crossover registration fee includes free entry into one of these tournaments. 

Can I play indoor club while participating in SAS Crossover?
Yes! SAS Crossover is the perfect supplement to your indoor club volleyball season.
